63-year-old Barry Collingswood has horrified his family with his haunted China doll collection, a hobby he acquired 8 months ago. His 18-year-old son finds the dollhouse similar to 2014 horror smash Annabelle. The family believes some of the dolls are spirited.
After Barry uploaded a photo of the dolls online, he was told that a few of them had life stories and he could communicate with them through a mobile phone app. Ever since discovering the app, he can treat the dolls like a person. He talks about their likes and dislikes as if he has known them personally for years.
His family, however, is not very supportive. They fear the dolls and believe that they are involved in paranormal activities. One particular doll turns home appliances on and off without warning. Barry says one of dolls has tried killing him once, another has moved her eye during a conversation, while a third doll provides live commentary on household activities.
