1. Kamal Haasan to Launch Political Party, to Tour TN in March
"I am no longer a cinema star. I am the lamp in your house. It is your responsibility to shield me and take care of me. It is your responsibility to light me," said Kamal Haasan at the launch of his new political party on Wednesday, 21 February.
After addressing fishermen in Rameshwaram, he paid tribute to late former President APJ Abdul Kalam at the Kalam Memorial. Tamil Nadu's political bigwigs took jibes at Haasan’s political debut.
While BJP's Tamilisai Soundararajan said that Kamal can only be headlines and never a leader, AIADMK's D Jayakumar called him a genetically modified seed that can't be sown in India.

2. AAP vs Delhi Chief Secy: MLA Amanatullah Surrenders
The political storm in Delhi over the faceoff between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash has been taking one dramatic turn after the other. While the opposition is demanding strict action, AAP MLAs Prakash Jharwal and Amantullah Khan were arrested by the police.
AAP Leader Sanjay Singh said that this was a conspiracy and that the discussions with the chief secretary in the meeting never turned violent.

3. Trudeau Visits Golden Temple, Meets Amarinder Singh
Canadian PM Justin Trudeau began his fifth day of the India visit by taking blessings at Amritsar's Golden Temple. He was received by ministers Hardeep Singh Puri and Navjot Singh Sidhu at the Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport.
Trudeau, with his family also met Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. Sidhu said that the 20-minute meet will strengthen ties between Punjab and Canada for the next 20 years.

4. Look for Jobs Elsewhere: Nirav Modi Tells Employees
After a scathing letter to the PNB accusing it of jeopardizing his brand, billionaire jeweller Nirav Modi penned a second letter to his employees in which he asked them to look for jobs elsewhere as he would not be able to pay them their salaries and dues on account of the scam. He reportedly told his employees that the ‘near future is uncertain’.
Meanwhile, Congress President Rahul Gandhi launched another attack on PM Modi over the scam. In a tweet, Gandhi suggested two topics to be spoken about in PM Modi's upcoming ‘Mann Ki Baat’ – the Nirav Modi Scam and the Rafale deal.
He also sarcastically expressed disappointment saying that the Prime Minister ignored his previous suggestions for ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

5. Delhi Govt, Don’t Make Nursery Admissions an Ordeal for Parents
The first list for the much-awaited admissions to Delhi nurseries was out on 15 February 2018 and parents of mere three-year-olds are more stressed than ever.
The Quint spoke to Kanika Khybri Kukreja, mother of a three-year-old, who revealed the ordeal that scores of parents in India’s capital go through every year in order to secure a seat in a good school for their child.
Nursery admissions in Delhi are a bigger task than what meets the eye. The process begins in December and goes on till the end of March every year. But discussions about the same start way earlier, says Kukreja, and continues to be a stressful dinner conversation till the child finally bags the prized admission.
