No ‘Kaala’ in Karnataka Over Cauvery Comment? Rajinikanth Responds
Rajinikanth’s much-awaited Kaala will not release in Karnataka following his comment on the Cauvery issue, reports ANI. “No film distributors are ready to release Rajinikanth's Kaala in Karnataka,” Sara Govindu, President of Karnataka Films Chamber of Commerce told ANI.
Commenting on the ban, Rajinikanth urged the South Indian Film Chamber and Karnataka Film Chamber to interfere and take necessary steps to ensure the film's release.

After 16 Days, Petrol & Diesel Prices Reduced – by Just 1 Paisa
The joy of reduced fuel prices was short-lived, as the reduction in petrol and diesel prices was revised – to just 1 paisa a litre – on Wednesday, 30 May. State-owned oil companies blamed clerical error for previously announcing a cut of up to 60 paise, reported PTI.
Oil companies announced reduction in petrol price by 60 paise to Rs 77.83 a litre and diesel by 56 paise to Rs 68.75 in Delhi. Within hours of the announcement, they revised the cut to just 1 paisa.
The reduction was supposed to be 1 paisa but due to a clerical error, the price prevalent on 25 May was communicated as today’s price.Senior official of Indian Oil Corp to PTI

Shimla Locals Ask Tourists to Avoid Town as Water Woes Continue
Locals of Shimla are asking tourists not to visit the hill town, as the Himachal Pradesh capital continues to be in the throes of a severe water crisis. Taps have been running dry for over a week now, and it has become difficult for even locals to find drinking water.
The water shortage is being attributed to a dry winter and a prolonged dry spell in the region. According to Hindustan Times, Shimla has no direct source of water and more than half of the town’s water is lifted from Gumma, an area that draws water from the Shimla catchment sanctuary.

Malviya Nagar Fire Under Control, Rubber Godown Owner Arrested
It took almost 20 hours and the help of nearly 65 fire tenders along with an Indian Air Force helicopter to bring under control the massive fire that had broken out in a rubber godown in South Delhi's Malviya Nagar locality on the evening of Tuesday, 29 May.
The city police also registered an FIR in the incident, and on Wednesday, one Sanjay Saini – the owner of the rubber godown in question – was arrested. The owner did not have the required permissions from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, he also had no fire safety equipment in place, reported ANI.
