Karnataka Energy Minister DK Shivakumar does not like selfies and he has made it clear not once, but twice. In a video, the minister is seen losing his temper and hitting a man’s hand, causing his phone to fall down when he tried to click a selfie with him.
But this is not the first time DK Shivakumar has been in the news for lashing out at selfie-takers. In November 2017, he was seen slapping a student at a child rights event in Belgaum.
Talking about the incident the minister has reportedly said, "Have some basic common sense. When I'm doing my responsibility and addressing the press how can someone come out for a selfie?.”
“It was a normal incident,” he added.
The minister was later taken away by his party workers, however, he has received criticism on social media and from the opposition party.
