You may have attended a number of Iftar parties, but here’s an Iftar like no other.
Throughout the month of Ramzan, the ‘Ketley’ tea stall, on a busy street of Hussainganj in Lucknow, served Iftar and Sehri to its patrons. What’s special about ‘Ketley’ is the fact that it is a small business run by mental health professional Ambreen Abdullah and employs those who live with mental illness. A number of those who live with mental illness are denied jobs by society, says Ambreen. ‘Ketley’ is her attempt at bringing about a more inclusive community.
