Once a sprawling hub of loud protests, New Delhi’s iconic Jantar Mantar may no longer be home to picketers across the country.

A recent order by the National Green Tribunal bans all dharnas, protests and demonstrations from the Central Delhi address, citing rampant violation of environmental laws caused due to blaring speakers and trash generated by protesters.

The ‘green court’ has identified Old Delhi’s Ramlila ground as an alternative venue for protests, some of which have been running for over a year. But are those campaigning at Jantar Mantar ready to move out? The Quint finds out.
