Esha Bahal, a student of political science from Amity University, Noida, became the British High Commissioner to India for 24 hours on 8 October. Esha got the chance after winning a challenge organised by the British High Commission to mark the International Day of the Girl Child.
According to the Deccan Chronicle, 58 students from across the country participated in the challenge.
“I had to upload a video explaining what gender equality meant to me and tag UK and India as per the requirement of the challenge. A few weeks later, I received an email saying that I had won the challenge and they (the British High Commission) called me up, congratulating me.”Esha Bahal, Student
Esha plans to become a social entrepreneur after completing her studies.
