Police have begun investigation, into the CCTV footage recovered from Delhi, to ascertain if Honeypreet Insan was the burqa-clad woman who visited lawyer Pradeep Kumar Arya on 25 September.
Police visited the office of Honeypreet’s lawyer in New Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar on 27 September. Earlier, Arya had confirmed that Honeypreet – a close aide of rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh – visited him on 25 September to file an anticipatory bail plea. On 26 September, the Delhi high court rejected the plea.
Raids at GK-II Residence
On Tuesday morning, the Panchkula police raided a residence in Greater Kailash II, earlier reported to be Honeypreet’s house.
The Haryana Commissioner of Police later said the media had mistaken the residence as belonging to Honeypreet. The raids were aimed at tracking down Aditya and Pawan Insan, two other close aides of the convicted Dera Sacha Sauda sect chief.
Commissioner AS Chawla said that arrest warrants had been issued for Honeypreet, Aditya and Pawan Insan.
The property, A-9, Greater Kailash II, is reportedly registered in the name of the Dera Sacha Sauda.
