Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's sudden apology spree seems to have upset the current political scenario of India and has left many doubtful of his motives. But the people of Delhi remain divided over the entire issue.
While some people accused Kejriwal of becoming a victim to the politics that he promised to fight and eradicate, others believe that he is still the same leader whom the people had chosen.
Kejriwal has been facing many defamation charges, some of which he managed to tackle by apologising.
However, several citizens feel that he shouldn't have apologised to his fellow adversaries if he was right.
On the contrary, there are a few Delhiites who believe that he should apologise. People claim that Kejriwal has tricked them into claiming his position as CM.
When asked about the work that the government has been doing so far, a large chunk of people, especially those who don’t belong to well-to-do backgrounds, say that Kejriwal has improved their standard of living by giving them access to water, better healthcare facilities, and cutting down on electricity charges.
But there are others who claim that certain sectors have been neglected and the conditions remain unchanged.
After Kejriwal's apology spree, it is becoming evident that the people of Delhi are either supporting him or are ruthlessly against him.
Those against him also accuse him of losing the trust of the citizens, and that they don't know what the truth is.
The citizens expected a different form of politics from the Kejriwal government, but they have failed to do so. They are victims of the same form of politics as their predecessors. The kind that we didn’t want. They talk big about freedom and other Utopian concepts, but that doesn’t happen on the ground level.Dr Zeeshan Ahmed, Doctor
