Happy With Supreme Court’s Verdict: Nirbhaya’s Parents

The Supreme Court on Friday upheld the death sentence of four men convicted of gang-raping Nirbhaya in 2012.

Hours after the Supreme Court upheld the death sentence for the four convicts in the Nirbhaya rape case, the victim’s father Badri Singh Pandey said he was happy and contented with the apex court’s decision.

We are happy that the judiciary was able to understand the pain of Nirbhaya.

Reacting to the verdict, Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi thanked all those who had taken to the streets in solidarity with the girl who died battling the horrible injuries sustained during the rape & assault.

The court’s verdict came almost five years after the 23-year-old woman was brutally gang-raped on a moving bus in Delhi.
