Policemen in Gurugram, Haryana, thrashed men on the road for allegedly creating a ruckus on the streets on New Year’s Eve.

There were some drunk people but we politely asked them to step away and people have peacefully left now.

Owing to strict safety measures being laid for the policemen to follow on the last day of 2017, the people were asked to show their identity cards as and not gather on roads.

Police post in-charge, MG Road, Moolchand claimed that on strict guidelines by higher officials, 250 policemen were deployed on the road where a number of eateries and pubs are located.

The policemen also claimed that taxis were arranged for people to reach Sikandarpur Metro station.

The police had already said that the people must not be allowed to stand on streets and people were also warned in advance that they should just peacefully leave.
