Tourists were in for a pleasant surprise after Pir Panjal mountain ranges in Jammu & Kashmir’s Rajouri district received fresh snowfall this morning.
The tourists who have flocked to the hills at this time of the year said the fresh snowfall made their visit more memorable. Fresh snowfall come as a boon for winter sports and tourism-related activities in the ‘paradise on earth’.
Hoteliers believe the fresh snowfall will help raise the occupancy in hotels across the state.
However, the historic Mughal Road, which connects Poonch district to Shopian was blocked after fresh snowfall. The roads are covered with the thick layer of snow and the locals have been advised to stay indoors.
