Pushed to the brink of poverty, a farmer in Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore District has been forced to use his daughters to plow an agricultural field.

Sardar Barela says his daughters had dropped out of school around three years ago as he had no money to fund their education. When asked about government schemes, the distressed farmer said he had not benefited from any such policies.

Meanwhile, the district administration has woken up to the incident and has asked Barela not to employ his daughters on the field and promised help.
