Have you ever wondered what astronauts eat in zero gravity? Well, they now eat pizzas.

Astronauts currently stationed on the International Space Station (ISS) prepared pizzas in zero gravity and the bigger treat here is to watch them toss flying pizzas at each other. The time lapse footage from the station shows a team of astronauts throwing pizzas to one another as they floated in mid-air.

This was after ISS Manager Kirk Shireman decided to surprise the astronauts with the ingredients for making pizzas, after the topic was brought up at a live public event.

Earlier, a video posted by NASA on YouTube showed astronaut Shane Kimbrough demonstrating exactly how to put together a sandwich in space. The biggest challenge, of course, was to prevent slices of bread from weaning away.

The most important element remains not the bread or a jar of peanut butter, but a simple tape. Yes, the adhesive on it keeps things from flying away and comes in handy while preparing a meal of sorts.
