While India is booming with festive fervour, the Diwali excitement has reached abroad, and no one has been spared.

From people dressed as Indian gods and goddesses, to worshipping cow models, the streets of New York City boomed with celebration.

Thousands gathered in Trafalgar Square in London, along with the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan himself. Khan was seen clicking selfies with the crowd and enjoying the Ram Leela and music and dance celebrations.

Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau celebrated the festival dressed in a Sherwani, lighting a diya (lamp) in Ottawa. He was joined by Indian High Commissioner Vikas Swarup as well.

Australians had a unique way of showing their excitement for the festival as they lit up sails of Sydney Opera House with golden lights to commemorate the festival.
