The ‘Churchill Arms’ was constructed in 1750, making it one of the most historic pubs and worth experiencing in West London. Christmas is often synonymous to trees, decorations, lights and merriment. With the festival approaching, the pub draws attention after being decorated with 21,000 Christmas lights and 100 trees on the exterior of the building.

The ‘Churchill Arms’ pub situated in Notting hill has been often termed as the ‘most festive pub’ in London by the local media. The beautiful flowers displayed at the facade of the building also remains a contributing factor to the reputation it has earned over the years. Additionally, the renowned pub also holds the record for being the first pub in London to serve delicious Thai food.

The pub's wide collection of plants initially started as a couple of hanging baskets and eventually bloomed into 100 tubs, 42 baskets and over 48 window boxes. During Christmas time, the pub is decorated with trees and thousands of lights, making the ancient pub stand out in the trendy and vibrant Notting Hill in London. The pub is said to spend around £25,000 every year for purchasing flowers, equivalent to deck out 45 UK weddings in blooms.

The charm of the pub is further enhanced by plenty of Churchill memorabilia hanging from the walls. Winston Churchill’s quotes, photographs grace the interiors of the pub.

Landlord Gerry O'Brien celebrated his 30th anniversary as the manager of ‘Churchill Arms’ in July 2015. The landlord was often known to be having hearty conversations with people in front of the pub. In the 1800s, Winston Churchill's Grandparents regularly visited the pub which eventually led to the naming of the pub & restaurant after World War 2.
