At Google and Quint Hindi's BOL: Love Your Bhasha event, The Quint's founder Raghav Bahl conversed with Google's Vice President Rajan Anandan on a range of topics, particularly throwing light on sources of revenue.

Raghav Bahl said that almost 90 percent of the online advertising revenue goes to Google and Facebook. He added that platforms like Google and Facebook must ensure a more equitable partnership with publishers.

Rajan Anandan said that if the content is right, then publishers can generate reasonable revenues. He also said that it was easy to create content and revenue in Indian languages, adding that the business model for publishers shouldn’t rely only on ads.
