At Quint Hindi and Google’s ‘Bol: Love Your Bhasha’ event, Indian Language startup founders discussed the challenges they faced in their early days.
When questioned on the challenges that the Indian language startup founders face, Ankush Sachdev, Co-Founder of social networking app Sharechat said that in the beginning, it was really difficult to manage capital when you pitch the idea that you are going to create an app in Hindi because an investor would open the app and realise that he has never seen anything like that and he wouldn’t be able to scale it.
“They could create content in Telugu, Tamil and had a captive user base which was coming only to them directly to receive the content that they were producing,”, added Dhingra.
