Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel is considered the ‘Man of the Match’ in Congress’ big win in the State Assembly polls. From campaigns for the elections to making strategies, Baghel has played an important role. Baghel, who waived farm loans after coming to power, spoke exclusively to The Quint’s Editorial Director, Sanjay Pugalia.
In The Quint’s special show ‘Rajpath’, Baghel said that the Savarn Aarakshan Bill is another ‘jumla’ by the NDA government. This is just one of PM Modi’s tall promises that was never fulfilled.
Nobody Ever Tasted the Tea Made By PM Modi
‘No one has ever claimed tasting the tea made by Narendra Modi,’ says Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel during the discussion over PM Modi’s image of a tea-seller.
I don’t believe in ‘jumlebaazi’ because the station is not there. Nobody ever tasted the tea made by him (PM Modi). No one ever saw the kettle in which he sold tea. So far, no one has ever claimed that he has tasted tea made by Narendra Modi. Every year I take journalists to my house and throw a party for them on New Year. This year, however, due to shortage of time I invited everyone here in the circuit house. Otherwise, every year, journalists from Raipur used to come to my farmland, have meals there and even took vegetables from there.Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh CM
