Ajitabh was planning to take admission at IIM Kolkata and wanted to raise money for education by selling his car. His family has been running a campaign requesting people to send leads in case they see anyone resembling Ajitabh.

In a video message sent to The Quint, Ajitabh’s elder sister, Pragya Sinha shared how it has been a difficult time for the entire family:

They (probe agency) haven’t been able to nab the criminals who are still roaming free and have stolen the peace and happiness of my family.

The incident also highlights the need for background check of users on online portals that provide a platform for various transactions. For Ajitabh’s family, a probe by the country’s premier investigating agency is the last ray of hope.
