Seven-year-old Anu Shah, who had her leg amputated just after birth due to an umbilical cord complication, can now dance and play – thanks to a new running blade or her ‘pink leg’ she acquired through government funding.

The British government had allocated £1.5M for physically-challenged children following an impressive outing at the 2016 Paralympics. The new blade was especially made in her favourite colour pink. The reaction of her friends when she walks in with her new 'pink leg' is heartwarming.

The funding though, is set to be terminated in March 2018, leaving the renewal of the grant under a cloud. In such a situation, Anu's father, Anirban Shah is ready to part with his property to provide his daughter the required facilities.
