Hot air balloons carrying dozens of tourists fly over the Theban Mountains at dawn and descend upon the Nile Valley as the sun rises over the ancient Egyptian town of Luxor. Hot air ballooning continues to be a popular attraction, despite a decline in the nation’s tourism industry, following the 2011 uprising that ended Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule.
