Never Said Modi Was First Hindu Ruler in 800 Years, Says Rajnath

Parliament was adjourned after CPI(M) leader Mohammed Salim attributed a contentious remark to home minister Rajnath Singh. Salim quoted Rajnath saying, “Modi was the first Hindu Prime Minister in 800 years.”

Singh has denied making the statement and Salim has said he read it in a magazine and if he has not said it, he must sue the magazine.
