Kejriwal’s Shifting Goalpost Killed AAP-Cong Deal: Rahul Gandhi
Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, 2 May said that the Congress was up for an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, but not in Punjab and Haryana for “strategic reasons.”
In an interview to NDTV, Gandhi said that he even went against his party’s wish to form an alliance with AAP in Delhi, but Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal’s insistence on including Punjab and Haryana in the equation affected the deal.

Stand by ‘Chowkidar’ Slogan, Apology Only to SC for Mistake: Rahul
Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, 2 May, clarified that there is no “roll back” of his allegations of corruption regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Rafale deal, and that his position on this has nothing to do with his apology to the Supreme Court in the contempt case against him.
Speaking to NDTV’s Sreenivasan Jain at an election rally near Jaipur in Rajasthan, Gandhi said:
“There is no roll back. I attributed something to the Supreme Court and that is where I have applied an apology. There is absolutely no apology to Mr Modi or anybody else. ‘Chowkidar chor hai,’ if you want to hear it again.”

‘Will Help Mahagatbandhan Where We Can’t Win in UP’: Rahul Gandhi
Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, 2 May, said the Congress’ primary aim is to defeat the BJP, and that they are working towards it in Uttar Pradesh for the Lok Sabha elections. Gandhi added that the Congress is helping the Mahagathbandhan in the state to fulfil this ambition.
Speaking to NDTV on the sidelines of an election rally in Chomu, Rajasthan, Gandhi said, “In Uttar Pradesh, a secular formation is going to win the election. Whether the Samajwadi Party, the Bahujan Samaj Party or the Congress, a secular party will win the vote.”

67% Indians Believe Rafale Deal is a Real Scam: Rahul Gandhi
Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, 2 May, asserted that the row over Rafale deal was a “real scam” this election and questioned why the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) was running parallel negotiations in the Rafale deal.
Speaking on the sidelines of his election rally in Chomu, Rahul said that the Congress has been “successful” in communicating about the Rafale deal.
“We have done surveys. When we started talking about Rafale, less than 20 percent people in India believed that Rafale was an issue. But now, close to 67 percent people believe that it is a real scam.”Rahul Gandhi
