Meet Anwesh Sahoo, an academic achiever who is open about his homosexual status and made it to the top 12 on a global stage of the Mr Gay World pageant.
Anwesh is a brilliant example of how and why we should not be judgmental of
people’s sexual preferences. Every individual has many more facets to
his personality than just his sexuality.
Anwesh is studying engineering at a IIIT and is an amazing dancer.
Just back from the Mr Gay World pageant in Malta where he represented
India, Anwesh threw himself headlong into the preparations for the
LGBTIQ film festival - Kashish, held in Mumbai last week, where he could also meet the legendary actor Sir Ian McKellen.
Anwesh tells The Quint how he emerged as a confident person from being that shy lad from Odisha who was bullied by his peers.
