Santosh Pol, a doctor based in Maharashtra’s Satara district (Wai town), has allegedly confessed to kidnapping and killing six people.
Pol ‘admitted’ to administering lethal doses of medicines to five women and a man between 2003 and 2016 and then burying them in his backyard .
Nicknamed ‘Dr Death’, his crimes came to light after police launched an investigation, when an anganwadi worker – Mangal Jedhe – went suspiciously missing.
Pol with his associates, including a nurse Jyoti Mandre, killed Jedhe who was allegedly the accused doctor’s lover.
