With India boldly carrying out (and more importantly, announcing its) surgical strike in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, pulling out of the SAARC summit and along with it making sure Afghanistan, Bhutan and Bangaladesh, pull out of it too, and talking (really) tough on Pakistan at the UN General Assembly, many of us are super happy that we are finally doing something beyond kadi ninda, and actually doing something to give a karara jawaab to Pakistan.

Now, surgical strikes, check. SAARC boycott, check. But it’s time to keep our feelings in check and not give on to cries for more escalation, and worse, even war.

With the Indian DGMO also saying that they don’t have plans for “any more continuation”, all we want to say to our jingoistic brothers, is Escalate Mat Karo Yaar! We don't want war. So, let's unbox jingoism and then box it up forever.
