It’s a Close Shave for These Base Jumpers

These two base jumpers had a near miss as they made a daredevil jump in flight suits. Ratmir Nagimyanov and his friend soared over the rocky outcrops in the North Caucasus, Ingushetia, when they flew past an old tower where two others stood filming the descent.

But Ratmir and his friend appear to fly too close to their mates, scaring them in the process. Ratmir said, “During this jump we passed really close to our friends, it looks like we frightened them, but it’s just the perspective and speed. During the landing there was also a danger of hitting the hill to our left, but we made the jump fine.”
