India underlined their continental supremacy as they overcame a gritty Malaysia in the final in Dhaka on Sunday to win the Asia Cup for the third time.
Ramandeep Singh (3rd minute) and Lalit Upadhyay (29th) scored for the 2014 Asian Games gold medallists India. While Shahril Saabah (50th minute) pulled one back for Malaysia, forcing India to defend their territory in the final moments of the game. Eventually, India won 2-1.
India's previous two titles were won in 2003 and 2007.
