The Quint's 2019 election chaupal reached the Bhandara-Gondiya Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra. What do the farmers and traders in this constituency expect from the upcoming elections? The foremost issue on the labourers' mind is employment.

While some labourers are happy with the Modi government, others say they will only vote for the leader who works for them. A trader in the region says, "The Modi government has benefited us. The government has given us cards for hospitals and homes." When asked to comment on Rahul Gandhi, he said that Gandhi hasn't given them anything. But Bhandara residents are still waiting for the benefits the Modi government had promised. They are waiting for the schemes to reach them. Speaking to The Quint, a resident of Bhandara-Gondiya said, "There are many schemes, but none of their benefits have reached us."
