That Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan will be rested for next month’s tour of Zimbabwe is a known fact. However, reports are now emerging that the Selection Committee, headed by Sandeep Patil, is keen to send an altogether ‘new-look’ team for the tour starting June 11.
The youngsters and most of the bench is set to be tested but the selectors have reportedly asked MS Dhoni to decide on his own availability since this is India’s last limited-overs assignment till March 2017.

While Ajinkya Rahane will be handed the captaincy if Dhoni skips the tour, the question now is who will replace the limited-overs skipper behind the stumps? Or at his batting spot lower down the order?
Times of India reports that KL Rahul is being seen as the man for the job, at least for the short three ODI and T20 tour.
