In an exclusive interview with The Quint’s Editorial Director Sanjay Pugalia, the Chief Minister of poll-bound Gujarat, Vijay Rupani, alleged Hardik Patel was a “Congress agent”.
Citing reports of secret meetings between Patel and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, Rupani said that the Patidar agitation leader’s affinity for the Congress was now out in the open for all to see.
Rupani also accused the opposition of drawing support from caste-based politics to disrupt the “peaceful” state of Gujarat that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had worked to build.
During the course of the interview, Rupani also discussed issues like employment figures in Gujarat, the BJP’s election strategies, and the UPA’s campaign in the poll-bound state.
