Design
Gionee has tried to outdo itself with the Elife S7. At 5.5mm, the smartphone is slim and shiny, and 0.4 mm thicker that its predecessor. It appears to be fragile but is actually quite sturdy. There is a layer of Corning Glass 3 on both the front and back.
The phone is a slightly bigger and users might find one-hand usage on this phone a bit troublesome, the fact that the surface is slippery doesn’t help much. The back panel is a magnet for fingerprint smudges.
Overall, the design is good and appealing, too.

Performance
The Elife S7 comes loaded with a 64-bit Octa core SoC (System on Chip) processor that is clocked at 1.7 GHz. The processor is a Mediatek MT6572 that is fast and responsive. Gionee Elife S7 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop Operating System and comes with the Amigo 3.0 UI on top of it.
The interface looks similar to the iOS. There is also 2GB of RAM which is sufficient enough for regular usage. The phone does not heat up at all and handles multitasking smoothly. Overall, the Elife S7 is a smooth operator with no issues when it comes to performance.

Display
The Gionee Elife S7 has a massive 5.2 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display that’s super bright and non-reflective under sunlight. The viewing angles are good but the colours are a little saturated.
The display looks sturdy enough as it has Gorilla Glass 3 protection to it. Overall a display that is well balanced but not too special.

Camera
The Gionee Elife E7 comes loaded with a 13 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera. The image quality completely justifies the specifications. The rear camera gives out crisp images in good lighting conditions, but the low-light performance is just about average.
The 8 megapixel front camera is superb for taking selfies on the go. The camera app also has an easy to use interface. This is what you expect from the camera of a flagship smartphone and it delivers on the money.
Rating: 4/5 Quints
Battery
The phone comes with a non-removable 2750 mAh polymer battery. This will at least a day. The phone is slim at just 5.5 mm, so to fit in a large battery was tough for Gionee here. But still managing a battery of this capacity is an achievement in itself.

Price
Gionee Elife S7 comes at a price of Rs 24,999. That lands this phone in a mid-range Android phone category. Gionee Elife S7 is a safe smartphone to have with decent specifications. It definitely is a better bet than the Moto X (2nd Gen).
This is a dual-SIM smartphone and supports 4G LTE, but on the other hand it just has 16GB internal storage and no storage expansion slot. This might not work for people looking for more storage on their smartphone.
Overall the Elife S7 is a performance oriented device with stunning looks and a decent price.
