Ingredients:
170 gms 45% dark chocolate
115 gms salted butter (if you use unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt to the flour)
200 gms soft dark brown sugar (you can also use caster sugar )
3 eggs
20 gms unsweetened cocoa powder
85 gms all-purpose flour
40 gms chopped walnuts
55 gms 50 % dark chocolate chips
Method:
Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
Melt the chocolate & butter together in a large bowl. Either via double boiler method or in the microwave.
Let it cool and then stir the sugar in until almost dissolved.
Add the eggs, one by one, whisking them in after each addition.
Sift in the cocoa powder, followed by the flour.
Fold in the chopped walnuts, followed by the chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake in pre-heated oven for 30 to 40 mins or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean.
Cool the brownies completely before slicing.
To serve, cut into squares while still warm and sprinkle some confectioners’ sugar pushed with a teaspoon through a sieve.
