Fed up with often dangerous and deteriorating roads, Rengma Selo Zi (Rengma Youth Organisation) launched a poster campaign to draw attention to the state of Nagaland’s NH2.

The organisation hung hoardings on the NH2 with quips like, “Japan had Nagasaki and Hiroshima, Ukraine had Chernobyl, Nagaland still has NH2”, “Road money is for roads not family development”, “Divided by distance, united by potholes”, “Do not travel through NH2 if you do not know how to swim”.

Last month, the Concerned Citizens of Nagaland forum also carried out protests against bad roads within the city limits of Dimapur.

The campaigns are not targeted against any individual, party or government, but only meant to draw attention towards the plight and untold hardships faced by the people due to bad roads.
