YRF’s most expensive film till date,Thugs of Hindostan has been released and here are the reactions on its opening day. The movie has been panned by film critics, although the audience at Mumbai’s famous G7 multiplex (famously known as Gaiety Galaxy) had all kinds of reactions to the movie.

While some viewers said they loved the film, others found it a dead bore. Still others were upset for having to pay exorbitant sums for the tickets. You have to watch the video to find out more.

Thugs of Hindostan has an estimated budget of more than Rs 200 crore. The story begins circa 1795 when the British East India Company tries to annex the princely state of Ronakpur. When negotiations fail, they assassinate its ruler Mirza (Ronit Roy) and his son Aslam. Mirza's trusted Lieutenant Khudabaksh Azaad (Amitabh Bachchan) escapes from the British's bullets, taking along with him Mirza's young daughter Zafira.

Threatened by Azaad's growing popularity, the British engage Firangi Mallah (Aamir Khan), a small-time but ambitious con man, to locate and capture Azaad.

While the two legendary icons of the Indian screen are pitted against each other, Aamir Khan steals the show with his flamboyance. He is the pulsating heart of the narrative. He brings his character to life with his energetic on-screen presence, priceless expressions on his visage, flawless dancing and agility during the action scenes.

Although a lot of viewers have agreed that this is Katrina’s best film yet, she has acted really well in the FIVE scenes she’s been given and same goes for Fatima Sana Sheikh (the girl from Dangal), who is much better in the action scenes, and has barely been given 10 lines in the film.

The coming weekend will decide the fate of this movie.
