A dismissed Air Force official, who allegedly shared secret documents with agencies backed by Pakistan’s ISI, has been arrested from Punjab.

The arrest was made by the crime branch of Delhi Police and he has now been sent to police custody for four days. The accused, identified as Ranjit, was posted at Bhatinda, but was dismissed recently after the force came across allegations.

The allegations were reportedly backed by actionable evidence put forth by security agencies, said a senior police official. Ranjit, a native of Kerala, was arrested on Monday and was produced before Patiala House Court on Tuesday.
