Durga Puja is being celebrated in various parts of the country with worshippers thronging the pandals to offer prayers to the goddess. Huge and magnificently decorated Puja pandals have been erected, in Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Surat and other parts, with residents celebrating the Pujas with traditional fanfare and gaiety.
Bollywood actors like Sushmita Sen also attended the Puja and offered prayers to “Maa Durga”.
The pandals hosted various cultural events along with stalls serving traditional food.
