Electric buses have now reached Delhi. The national capital ‘goes green’ with two new electric buses that will ferry Parliamentarians and the staff of Transport Bhawan.

The buses can cover a distance of around 60 km after 4-5 hours of charging. The bus is a gift from Road Transport and Highways Ministry to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

The bus, that originally ran on diesel, has been converted to electric and boasts of being ‘zero-emmission’. More such buses are expected to be rolled out in the future.
