Congress Protests Suspension of MPs, Calls it Murder of Democracy

Congress workers climbed barricades and raised slogans against the Speaker’s decision and Prime Minister’s silence on the issue.

Reacting to the protest by Congress leaders over the suspension of MPs, Manmohan Singh on Tuesday said it is not way of solving issues.

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday, said that the suspension of MPs is a symbol of what is being done all across the nation.

Calling it a murder of democracy, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday, said that it is the government’s responsibility to run the Parliament.
