Every other day we see someone or the other being trolled on social media specially if you are a celebrity you are never spared. Student of the Year 2 actor Ananya Panday was has been a victim to cyber bullying. The fame and success that she achieved post the release of Student of the Year 2 came the ugly side of social media when a girl who claimed to be Ananya’s schoolmate took to social media claiming that Ananya has been lying about her admission in University of Southern California among other things. The accusations eventually turned out to be false after Ananya shared proof of her admission.

She posted pictures of her acceptance letter and certificate alongside a statement reiterating that she had been accepted by Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC for a major in Communication in the Spring 2018 semester. She explained that she had requested the university to postpone her date of admission twice, first to Fall 2018 and then Fall 2019, after the release date of her first film Student of the Year 2 was delayed. She added that her university plans are on hold for the moment while she pursues her career in acting.

Talking to The Quint her father Chunky Panday tells us how it made him angry that Ananya had all the proof to prove herself right but she was not talking.

I actually felt bad for her. I said what they are talking is rubbish. She has got into these universities. She has got the certificates to prove it. What got me angry was that Ananya why aren’t you going out and proving yourself right? Why are you letting this happen?
