A chimpanzee escaped from the Yagiyama Zoological Park in Sendai city, Miyagi Prefecture in northern Japan, where he was on the loose for hours.

He climbed an electricity pole, and city officials were forced to sedate him with a tranquiliser dart.

The stressed-out chimpanzee soon lost his strength and fell from the pole, landing among the officials below.
