Connectivity and an affordable price, that is what US car manufacturer Chevrolet is promising with its new 2017 Bolt EV (electric vehicle) production vehicle.

Presenting the car at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Chevrolet Chairperson and CEO Mary Barra boasts of its thousands of charge points via the firms’ dealership network.

The Bolt EV can actually give you time back. Thanks to a DC fast charging system the battery can charge to 80 percent of capacity in only 60 minutes, or to 100 percent overnight, using the 240 volt charging system.

Barra adds that it will come at a cost as low as 30,000 dollars US, with government incentives.

The firm projects that the 2017 Bolt EV will run for 200 miles (321 kilometres) per charge after it goes into production this year.
