Chained to Chair For Over a Decade Because of His Mental Condition

Mentally challenged Sharvez Alam has been chained to a chair for 12 years by his father Shah Alam, a daily wage worker in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district.

His father says, he doesn’t have enough money to get his son treated. He claims, no welfare organisation or government has come forward to help them in their financial crisis.
