BSF Director General KK Sharma on Thursday at Attari Border said that table talk is the “best remedy” to ease tension between India and Pakistan.
He said this after holding the biannual Director General-level talks in Pakistan. Sharma led an 18-member delegation.
Talks between the two border forces held in Pakistan would yield positive outcome in the coming period. Drug smuggling, border crossing by smugglers and terrorists were discussed during the meet. Answering questions about the Dinanagar and Pathankot terror attacks, he said that these issues were not in the schedule of the talks.
On infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir, Sharma said BSF is powerful enough to tackle such threats. Four more BSF battalions will be deployed in the Valley to strengthen the border security.
