A broken fence on the India-Pakistan border at Pathankot remains in a damaged condition. Infiltrators are seeking out weak spots and unguarded points like these to intrude into India and carry out their nefarious designs.

This international fence is meant to secure both nations from intruders. In total, the fence on the Punjab border is broken at 33 points. Of these, eight are in Pathankot district.

The broken fence has become an access point for Pakistani infiltrators to enter India, enabling attacks such as those on the Pathankot Airbase and the Uri Army base camp.

However, Hem Pushp Sharma, SP (Operation), Pathankot assures that the police force is doing everything to prevent further attacks on Indian soil.

We have initiated a three-tier security system; BSF, Army and Punjab Police. Together we have set up check-posts at multiple points. We are keeping a close watch on the border to prevent any infiltration from the enemy.
