Bernie Sanders spoke loudly and clearly in support of his former Presidential race rival Hillary Clinton as the Democrat nominee at the Democratic National Convention on Monday night. He was clear in his speech and on twitter about why Republican candidate Donald Trump had to be defeated.

He warned his disillusioned supporters to not sit it out.

His own voter base might have become disillusioned with his support for Clinton, if he was chosen as her running mate, since they saw him as a candidate with a difference.

Sanders spoke about how the election is not about the candidates but about one who can help the nation come out of the real problems of inequality and inequity that it is facing.

Taking a jab at Trump, he said that America needs a leader who will need to foster the diversity of the people, bring them together and the country stronger – a feat that Hillary Clinton will be able to achieve.

Sanders also got an opportunity to get back at Trump who was unhappy with Sanders’support for Clinton.
