Vikram Agnihotri, a 45-year-old man from Indore, has not let his disability become a hurdle and drives with his feet.
After getting fed up of his driver and asking his friends to give him a lift, he decided to learn how to drive himself. He drives his car to his office, to a local football club and even takes his family out for dinners.
He lost his arms at the age of seven after he accidentally touched a high-voltage wire. But his parents and friends have never let him feel disabled.
I was lucky to be surrounded by people who encouraged me to take my disability in stride. I was never made to feel embarrassed because of not having arms. There was no bullying or taunts ever, only encouragement.

But despite being the only amputee in the country who has achieved this feat, he is yet to get a permanent licence.
Vikram has a learner’s licence. His application for a permanent licence was rejected by traffic officials.
There are several countries where amputees drive then why are people like us not given chance here? We cannot be discriminated against on the grounds of disability if we are capable enough.
