Recently, he spoke to The Quint about four of his favorite scenes from his films. He pointed out his favourite scene from one of his much-loved films: Dedh ishqiya starring Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah.

“ I would say the scene in ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ where Khalujaan and Babbar are confronted with Jaan Muhammed which is Vijay Raaz and they get into a standoff at night which becomes morning.”

He also spoke about his favourite scene from Udta Punjab:

“In Udta Punjab I loved the scene in which Shahid’s character (Tommy) meets Alia’s character. That was a scene that again was very difficult to write. There’s a lot of anticipation to that scene. You know you build these two characters for like more than hour and now they are going to meet and also the fact that when the audiences are watching it, they are going to wonder Shahid and Alia kab milenge, you know.”
