Seven people were killed and over 90 injured when a pandal fell due to strong winds and heavy rains at the Kumbh Mela in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday.
Among the dead are four devotees and one hermit.
Madhya Pradesh government has announced Rs 5 lakh as compensation to families of deceased. They will also receive Rs 2 lakh as compensation as insurance. Those critically injured will get Rs 50,000.
